This tour involves moderate physical activity. Some churches require hiking and climbing, with Abuna Yemata Guh being the most challenging (involving a steep climb with some exposure). However, there are alternative churches to visit for those who prefer less strenuous options.
The Ark of the Covenant is kept in a special chapel at St. Mary of Zion Church and is not accessible to the public. Only one designated guardian is allowed to see it. Visitors can view the chapel from outside and learn about its significance from our guides.
The best time is from October to June, avoiding the heavy rains of July and August. The weather is pleasant during these months, with clear skies and comfortable temperatures for exploring the historical sites.
